The North Waterford World’s Fair started in 1852 and was known as Tom Greene’s Fair because it was held in a field below his home. Around 1900, the name changed to The World’s Fair, and exhibits were shown on the platforms of stores and on tables in the schoolhouse and dances were held in the IOOF Hall.
In 1928, the Fair moved to the present site, which was selected because it was near the church where meals were served.
A lot of history has happened in the meantime, but here we are today bringing you the Waterford World’s Fair each year.
