We work with nature as much as possible to provide for our animals and crops. What started out as homesteading has turned into a passion. In 2020, we had solarp anels installed and have swapped out oil dependency for a hybrid hot water heater. With our net zero goals, we have incorporated an electric trimmer and an electric chainsaw to do tree pruning and brush cutting.
We work hard to produce fruits and vegetables, and have an extensive orchard that has been expanded every year since 2010 when we planted our first plum trees. Currently, we have over 70 fruit trees with every tree being a different variety! Grapes, berries, nuts, honey, hops, and maple syrup are all part of our operations. We have limited varieties in stock during the season and quickly sell out.
We are always planning ahead and adding more. Right now, we are plotting an area to start seasonal crop rotations.
