Apples, and so much more! We are open mid-August through the end of October. McDougal Orchards is a diversified seventh generation family farm in Southern Maine specializing in the production of high quality apples for sale to pick-your-own and farm stand. We invite families of all ages to step back in time, slow down, relax and enjoy the farm's healthy, high-quality agricultural products and low-impact recreational opportunities. Visitors will take home fresh, carefully grown produce, tired, happy kids, and an increased knowledge of, and appreciation for, this small pocket of agriculture in Springvale, Maine. Customers pass through the dooryard of the historic farmhouse on their way to pick apples in the orchards behind the house, or stop to buy ready-picked fruit in the barn salesroom.

Agritourism Activities
Please call for more information, pricing, and to schedule your special day! We can tailor an event to fit your budget. Components can be individually priced. Want to take your students on an educational adventure? Learn about the seasons of growing apples in our beautiful old barn. Enjoy a wagon ride through one of our beautiful orchards. Each child gets a 1/4 peck bag (up to 3 lbs of apples) to fill. No charge for paid staff. One parent per student may ride the wagon, room available. Adults who pick apples get a group discount. Scheduling an outing for your company? Enjoy a relaxing (work?) day on the orchard, Group discount rate on PYO apples! Is it someone's Birthday? You can take your chances that a picnic table is available OR give us a call and we will reserve a table or two for you, prices vary. Add a 1/4 peck bag of apples per child (holds around 3 pounds of apples).
