We manage 7 acres of certified organic fields located outside the center of Gray and 34 acres located in Dresden, Maine. We follow sustainable management practices and are Certified Organic by MOFGA. We primarily rake our fields by hand and process them on the winnower that we designed and fabricated to provide the highest quality berries for our customers. As an Organic operation, we manage our weeds throughout the year by hand pulling saplings and cutting weeds before they produce seed. We are Certified Organic because we choose not to spray our fields with chemical herbicides for the health of our environment, customers, and employees. Once a year, typically in the fall, we mow or burn half of our land. This pruned land will produce prolific berries on easy to rake stems two seasons later. By pruning half of our fields each year, we ensure a good harvest of berries every year.
We grow flowers to nourish your soul! All of our flowers are grown following organic practices. We start our flowers from seed and harvest the blooms at their peak. We are sure that these flowers will fill your home with beauty, as they do our field. In the fall, we will have vibrant dried flowers and dried flower wreaths. These everlasting flowers are the perfect decoration for your home or as a gift, whether you are traveling near or far.
