Balsam Ridge

Agritourism Farm Sugar Shack/Maple Syrup

Welcome to our farm & create a tradition at Balsam Ridge! We open for the 2023 Christmas Season the Day after Thanksgiving. Follow our Facebook page for updates.

At Balsam Ridge, our philosophy has always been about traditions and family. We are extremely appreciative and thankful to our customers for the continued support they have provided over the years and look forward to serving friends, old and new, for years to come.

Many of you have seen the transformation of the landscape over the years now in our fourth rotation for many of our fields. In the spring, we are continually planting new trees to meet the needs of our customers and planning on how we can improve to serve our customers better. In 2007, we expanded our operation to include a sugarhouse and a gift shop where we welcome you to come in from the cold after selecting your Christmas tree to enjoy a hot beverage.

We invite you to visit us at our farm and create a tradition for your family; or let us bring a piece of Maine to you by enjoying the many products we offer here at Balsam Ridge and also on-line.

Please contact or check the member’s website or social media for the most up-to-date hours, location, and information.

Sugar Shack/Maple Syrup Activities

Celebrate Spring at Balsam Ridge. Beginning in March our Sugarhouse is Open to the Public on WEEKENDS. Stop in and smell the sweetness in the air.

Agritourism Activities

Join us for Maine Maple Weekend™, Always the Fourth Weekend in March; when we open our sugarhouse to the public to observe the process of maple syrup being made. Self-guided tours of our sugar bush are available as well as a presentation on how maple syrup is produced.

We will be open both Saturday & Sunday, March 6th thru April 3rd, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

This is an opportunity for families to enjoy an outing at a local sugarhouse and become educated in the process of all that is involved in creating this delicious treat.

Try our homemade beans baked in maple syrup, to go.

We sell maple syrup, maple cream, maple candy, maple fudge, maple drops, maple lollipops, maple cotton candy, and more. Our maple products are available for purchase year-round, during our scheduled hours or off-season by appointment or call ahead -- we gladly welcome your visit.
