What’s happening behind the scenes in Berwick agriculture? You drive past the fields all the time. The tractors tractor move across the landscape from dawn to dusk. You strain your neck to see what kind of animal that was in the distance.
This summer, you’re invited to take a closer look, and have some fun too! The Berwick Farms Scavenger Hunt is a chance to find out what grows in the fields, learn about the dawn to dusk farm schedules, and meet the farmers who grow the crops and care for the animals. Come join the fun and exploration; this day will be the perfect way to slow down, and explore what your local farmers are doing. You can read these tips to make the most of your Open Farm Day visit.

This Berwick Farms Scavenger Hunt happens as part of the 32nd annual Maine Open Farm Day. It will be a great opportunity for you to visit the animals, walk the fields and enjoy the open spaces, which are special places that keep agriculture a big part of the Berwick landscape. While you tour the #BerwickFarms2021, you show your scavenger hunt participation, and enter to win prizes from participating farms.
- Look for the special scavenger hunt photo-op site at each farm
- Add the picture to your social media and tag with #BerwickFarms2021
- Post the most for a chance to win! Winners announced on the Envision Berwick Facebook page.
